Luxury European Travel to London and Edinburgh
To qualify for European luxury travel to London and Edinburgh, there are certain aspects of your travel plans should be in true. These are detailed below, and if any of these not as it should be, then you should continue your search for a travel company that offers you they want: the real luxury, no unpleasant surprises.
1. The first is cost. When you pay for your vacation, then they should find other hidden costs are unknown. Costs such as meals, transportation and others should be detailed immediately, and good company will include all of these in the cost of your holiday.
2. Flights must be at least business class. How can you enjoy a vacation filled in the economy? That is not luxury, it is an ordeal, so make sure you have at least the kind of business, or look elsewhere.
3. How many people travel with you? True luxury is you and your partner not you and the other 50. Road travel should be in a limo – just the two of you and your driver – no one else, except perhaps your personal guide. Find a company can provide that level of personal service.
4. European luxury travel must involve first-class travel by train or would not be luxury, it would be standard, and will a train when traveling to Britain. Flying is fine, but you'd miss a lot to do in a comfortable first-class carriage train.
5. The hotels should be the best and hand picked for their commitment to personal attention. Anything less should not be enough.
6. Finally, all tickets at exhibitions, shows and tours throughout the country should be included in the price. Too many people end up paying twice the price of holidays for visitors called "optional travel and entrance fees. Yours should be included.
That said, what there is to see in your luxury vacation in London. Buckingham Palace and is similar available for you to look at, but did not seek European luxury travel to London things just to do the 'tourist' everybody does it. Of course, you will see the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, but you should also check out Trafalgar Square where the massive monument built by the nation in gratitude for the sacrifice Lord Horatio Nelson of life at sea during the Battle of Trafalgar, and Apsley House, in charge of the nation to the Duke of Wellington to defeat Napoleon at Waterloo.
The Tower of London is a "must" for any tourist, and visualization of not only the jewels of the crown, but also the place where Anne Boleyn and many others had their heads severed from their bodies. The Tower Bridge is also worth a visit before heading to the north to Edinburgh in Scotland. The county in northern England is the county of Northumberland, and is worth seeing before crossing the Scottish border.
Northumberland is about 350 miles north of London, and consists of a train journey. Newcastle is the largest city in that part of Great Britain and Northern is known for its castles and houses manor. Alnwick Castle is the home of the Dukes of Northumberland, and well worth a visit to see how the other half lives, as they say in England. You can also visit Hadrian's Wall, built by the Roman Emperor Hadrian to keep out the Scots, and there is a strong Roman baths here.
In the way to Edinburgh, you can take a detour and visit Falkirk, where the Wallace Monument, a monument to the great Scottish patriot William Wallace, of which the film 'Braveheart' was made (albeit with some Hollywood embellishments!). Then, in Edinburgh, where you can visit the famous castle overlooking Princes Street, the most famous street in Edinburgh, with gardens on the south side and shops on the north. Other attractions include Holyrood House, the residence of Mary Queen of Scots, and if you like being scared, haunted houses and caves beneath the city.
Edinburgh is best explored on foot, as there is much to see in a small area. Apart from the above, you have the Children's Museum, the Royal Museum of Scotland, the National Portrait Gallery and the Scottish National Art Gallery there, in Princes Street at the bottom of mound leading to the Royal Mile. The Royal Mile stretches from Edinburgh Castle, sitting on a volcanic plug above the city, to Holyrood House, with closure by Scottish Parliament.
European luxury travel to London and Edinburgh could also take in many towns and cities along the way, but a tour of Edinburgh and a trip to Northumberland is a good option to add a holiday in London to offer a luxury holiday in Britain to remember lifetime.
